One of our favorite ways to kick off the weekend is with a big glass of vitamins minerals, and nutrients. Smoothies are one of the best ways to consume a lot of nutrients in a smaller portion, and it doesn't hurt that they taste great! With so many variations for smoothies, they never get boring either. Here are a few of our favorite recipes. Share yours with us on Facebook or Instagram:
1. Gingery Mango & Berry Smoothie
Recipe by: Minimalist Baker
This recipe is creamy, citrusy, and packed with good stuff! It includes mangos, strawberries, and coconut milk, as well as fresh ginger (which is great for gut health). Serve with a slice of whole grain toast or with a Vukoo bar for a wholesome breakfast.
2. Classic Green Monster
Recipe by: Oh She Glows
If you've been around here for a while, you know we're all about our greens—and the classic green monster smoothie does not disappoint. It's made with (you guessed it) lots of greens, including kale and baby spinach. (The recipe says you can use either, but we opt for both!) The banana makes it extra creamy.
3. Kale Pineapple Smoothie
Recipe by: Well Plated
Another kale smoothie we love is this one from Well Plated. It includes pineapple and banana for sweetness, as well as honey, greek yogurt, almond milk, and peanut butter. Yum!
4. Rich Dark Chocolate Smoothie
Recipe by: Cooking Light
Last on the list, this smoothie is for all you coffee and chocolate lovers. While it's not packed with fruit like the ones above, it is a great weekend treat! We recommend throwing some berries in for added antioxidants.
