Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and we're eager to spend a weekend with loved ones, enjoying all the best foods and some much needed R&R. Before then, though, we want to prepare our bodies for the (many) slices of pie and days spent lounging around—all of which are good things, in moderation! Thus, we're increasing the intensity of our workouts this week with a few HIIT sessions. We encourage you to give them a try!
1. Full Body HIIT - Rowing Machine
1000 m row (at level 10) on the rowing machine
10 wall balls/10 burpees for 10 rounds
1000 m row (at level 10) on the rowing machine
2. Leg Burnout HIIT - Stair Sprints
For this workout, use either the stair climber at your gym or a set of stairs in your apartment complex/at a nearby football field. This workout is for time
10 flights of stairs, 10 squats, 10 pushups, 10 burpees, 1-minute rest
9 flights of stairs, 9 squats, 9 pushups, 9 burpees, 1-minute rest
Repeat for 7, 6, 5, and so forth until you reach 1—pyramid style!
3. Arm Burnout HIIT - Kettlebell Killers
1/4 mile sprint on the treadmill
10 push-ups
10 kettlebell swings
10 kettlebell presses (each side)
10 kettlebell chest flys
Repeat 5X
