It's Spring Break in Colorado, and we're taking advantage of the warmer weather to 'spring clean!' While most of us still have to go to work and aren't affected by the school holiday, the shift in seasons and buzz in the air has us excited to use our free time this weekend for cleaning. We also want to reevaluate our health and fitness goals as we're now one-quarter through the year. Besides, what better way is there to mark the transition from winter?
Here's how we're spring cleanin' this weekend:
1. CLEAN YOUR CLOSET
Now is the perfect time to go through your fitness wardrobe. If you have workout apparel that you're not wearing, sell them to make some cash. For clothes that are too worn for the gym, set them aside for charity. Clean-up your fitness wardrobe and keep only what you love.
2. CLEAN YOUR FITNESS GEAR
If you own fitness gear at home, this weekend is a good time to give it all a clean. Own a yoga mat? How about free weights? Even your gym bag could go for a spin in the washer. Take care of your fitness equipment this weekend by disinfecting and washing your gear.
3. SCHEDULE A TRIP TO THE DOCTOR
When was the last time you had your health checked? Spring is a great time to call and schedule your routine wellness exam if you haven't been to the doctor. It is also an excellent time to check in with other health-related appointments you may have been avoiding -- think dentist, chiropractor, nutritionist, etc. Keep your body clean and in tip-top shape by keeping up with medical appointments and wellness check-ups before the summer.
4. REVALUATE HEALTH AND FITNESS GOALS
Now that we're one-quarter of the way through the year, use this weekend to go over your fitness and health goals from the beginning of 2019. Check in with yourself, evaluate your progress, and then set new intentions for the coming months. Be sure to give yourself credit as well. Celebrate small accomplishments and commend yourself for working hard these last three months.
