Father's Day is this weekend in the United States, and so we're excited to get some time outside to enjoy the sunshine and celebrate our dads. If you're still trying to make plans for an active and adventurous holiday weekend, here are a few of our favorite dad-approved activities:
1. Camping
Who doesn't love a good camp trip? Whether you live near the beach or a forest or even the desert (check your local temps!), a camp trip is a great way to spend some intentional time with dad away from city noise and excess technology. Bring some Vukoo bars for roasting over the open fire to create some extra incredible S'mores. 😋
2. Take a hike
Looking for more of a Sunday-afternoon activity? Why not opt for a family hike? That's right; invite dad and the whole fam to explore some nearby trails and breathe in the fresh air. Pack some snacks and lunch items to enjoy a picnic at the summit. To make it extra special, spend that walking time on the trail telling dad why you're thankful for him. Don't forget to take a photo at the trailhead!
3. Host a cookout
If leisure is more your dad's style, host a backyard cookout with all his favorite (healthy) foods. Grill up some organic meat and fresh veggies for a summer dinner, or make a few of our favorite potluck-style recipes for sharing. If you don't have a large enough yard, parks are a great spot for cookouts and gatherings. Bring some sports items along to keep everyone active--leisure and pickup soccer go hand-in-hand!
4. Take a bike ride
Finally, if dad prefers something extra active, dust off the bikes for a scenic ride just the two of you. Here are just a few of the reasons we love biking, and we bet your dad will love the sport too!
