Can you believe summer is nearing its end and kids are heading back to school? With fall quickly approaching it is a great time to check-in on goals, re-evaluate habits, and find healthy routines that work for the new season. Whether you are starting classes or back to work after a relaxing summer vacation, fitness and body care can easily be forgotten in the transition.
To help you stay on track with your goals and to get you excited about workouts this fall, here are two quick (but brutal) “back-to-school” workouts. It’s still warm outside and these workouts are perfect for late summer days or even chilly autumn mornings. Make sure to bring a bottle of water and a Vukoo bar for post-workout fuel.
Stadium Leg Burn Workout
Begin and end this workout by running 5-10 flights of bleachers (adjust the number depending on how many bleachers there are)
Sprint one lap around the track
10 “box jumps” using bleacher step
10 decline lunges using bleacher, each leg
10 lateral step-ups using bleacher, each leg
10 modified v-ups on bleacher blench
Repeat 4X
Stadium Strong Arms Workout
Begin and end this workout by jogging 3 laps around the track
Sprint 5-10 flights of bleachers (adjust the number depending on how many bleachers there are)
10 decline push-ups using bleacher
10 triceps dips using bleacher
10 incline push-ups using bleacher
30 seconds side plank on hand or elbow, each side
Repeat 4X
