Weekend Workout: Playground Circuit

Looking for an exciting and killer workout to jumpstart your weekend?

We’ve cooked up a circuit for you! Seriously, you’ll be dripping after finishing this workout. Grab your water bottle, a Vukoo bar for a post-workout snack, and head to the park. This outdoor circuit only require you to show up and get outside!

First step, find a park with a playground. You can usually find one in suburban neighborhoods or adjacent to your city’s central green space. You’ll want to show up when there aren’t any kids on the playground, so early morning is best. Besides, getting your workout in early means more time to enjoy the weekend!

Playground Circuit

Warm Up

In the grass or open space, complete the following:

Jumping Jacks - 30 seconds

Butt-Kickers - 30 seconds

High-Knees - 30 seconds

Mountain Climbers - 30 seconds

 

Repeat 5X for a 10-minute warm up


Circuit

1 Set Monkey Bars: Just like when we were kids! Resist momentum and use your arms to carry you from bar to bar.

10 Toes to Bar: Using the outdoor pull-up bars, complete 10 toes to bars. 

10 Step Jumps: Using a step on the playground, complete 10 box jumps. You can adjust the number depending on how high/difficult the step is.

10 Decline Push-Ups: Using the same step, complete 10 decline push-ups.

60-second rest

 

Repeat 5X


Cool Down

Finish how you started—with 5 more sets of the warm-up circuit!

Jumping Jacks - 30 seconds

Butt-Kickers - 30 seconds

High-Knees - 30 seconds

Mountain Climbers - 30 seconds

 

Repeat 5X for a 10-minute cooldown


Remember to stretch, hydrate, and refuel post workout!
